The Shawshank Redemption

December 06, 2019

Stephen King's favorite reader is probably familiar with the story of the detective, fiction, horror he encounters in the story that he delivers. But "Shawshank Redemption" is quite different from what we all know about his writing. There is no blood, no suspense, only a simple story that makes people think.

The film is simply a story about a man named Andy was accused of murdering his wife, imprisoned nearly two decades in the famous prison called Shawshank. (he is innocent)
At Shawshank, every definition of humanity, of the right to life is meaningless. If you cry or moan, you will be beaten by the Byron guards. It's just the beginning of the movie,The most terrible thing is:

There is a group of evil prisoners called "The Sisters"-they are very disgusting,Their preference is to rape the beautiful boys..And of course Andy is their perfect target,You will have to let them rape or you will be beaten.
At Shawshank, the society is evil and dark. Corruption, money laundering and tax evasion are under Norton's control. Initially there were only a few guards, only after half a year were nearly all guards.
At Shawshank, all truth is hidden. Young man Tommy was shot two times just because he wanted to tell the truth and evidence that Andy was convicted unfairly.

I learned a lot after watching this movie:

1.Do not lose hope
This imprisonment does not make Andy lose faith. He quietly, he always hopes because he believes "Hope is a good thing, sometimes the best. And good things never die. " And the same hope that made the feat: he escaped with a ... hammer. It's unbelievable that many innocent people believe that "it takes 600 years to do,"-Andy took only 20 years to escape.
One of the highlights of the film is the image of Brooks, an elderly prisoner, who has been pardoned for social inclusion. But how do you integrate when you have lived in prison all your life, accustomed to all those "innocent" respectful, love you now live under the eyes scornful, scornful of people. Brooks suicide to free himself.
It can be said that it is difficult to express all of the emotions and not enough words to talk about "Shawshank Redemption," too many of the great humanitarian lessons and values that Stephen King wrote, Frank Darabont painted.

2. "Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying"
When people who have been desperately detained in one place are desperate for so long, one can hardly think of life outside the world.. However, some people dare to stand up to fight with fate.
Brooks Hatlen - an old prisoner who could not stand the social injustice.
He could not bear and liberated himself by hanging himself. On the contrary, Andy never accepts the circumstances of his push, keeping himself busy with meaningful things in the camp life. Before his escape, Andy had given Red hope and faith so that he would have a life of freedom.
3.. Happiness is always waiting for you at the end of the road
Sometimes you feel like you have to crawl through the "stinky sewer pipe" to get something good. Life is never a road full of roses that always contain the danger stalking, requires us to be consistent to overcome. Andy was never subjected to the ruthless rules of the prison, the labyrinth inside Shawshank was gradually broken by his small hammer and indomitable spirit.
The story is very true to our lives, everyone must stumble when the road is not flat. When enough patience to overcome the challenge, this life will be more meaningful.

4.Keep your mind steady even if things get bad
When things get tough and tend to be against you, calm down and find ways to shake your tired mind. Try to keep your mind busy with something meaningful for yourself and others around you.
Andy has done a lot of good during long jail time: to help manage the library, make tax returns and provide profitable financial plans to prison officers, write to applicants.
Life is always more meaningful with honesty and endless effort, no matter what the circumstances. He also taught his friend Tommy Williams how to read.
5.Taking advantage of others will lead to countless problems
Andy informs a local newspaper about Norton's sin and murder. No choice, Norton suicide in the office.
Warden Samuel Norton - Director of Shawshank Prison, taking advantage of prisoners' labor in public works, profiteers by cutting down on the costs of skilled workers and using Andy for money laundering purposes with the alias "Randall Stephens". After successfully escaping, Andy brought all classified documents and acted as "Randall Stephens", withdrawing all the money he earned in 19 years in prison.
